Cloud backup

Cloud backup that leaves your computer encrypted

A backup kept on the same computer, the same office, or the same external drive fails for the same reasons the original data does: theft, fire, a failed drive, ransomware that reaches everything it can see. Cloud backup means a copy leaves the building, in a form nobody but you can read.

Off-site by design

Your files are uploaded to storage outside your premises, so a disaster at your desk or your office does not also take the backup with it.

Unreadable in transit and at rest

Encryption happens before upload, with a key that only ever exists unwrapped on your own machine. The storage layer holds ciphertext.

Reachable from anywhere you sign in

Start a restore from the web dashboard on any device, then finish it on the computer you're restoring to. You are not tied to the machine that made the backup.

What cloud backup costs

Pricing is per computer, in rupees, with GST included, and is never hidden behind a hardcoded number on this page — see the live plans on Pricing. The first upload takes the longest, because it has nothing to skip; every backup after that only sends what changed.

Questions about cloud backup

Where is my data stored?

In object storage separate from your computer and reachable only through the Backora service. We do not publish the physical location as a security or compliance claim; what we do state plainly is that the storage layer never holds a readable key.

Do I need a fast internet connection?

A faster connection means a faster first backup. After that, only changed data uploads, and you can cap the bandwidth Backora uses in Settings so it never competes with your work.

Is my data mixed with other customers' data?

No. Every query and every stored object is scoped to your account; a customer's data is never reachable through another customer's session.
